It was probably because more that they were one of the first bands, post-NOU, that dressed like hipsters, played 10 minute sets without saying a word to the audience, went totally apeshit and had lyrics that most would deem esoteric at best. Compare that to the Struggle/Born Against/etc scene of the early 90s and there’s quite a contrast. Everything has it’s time and place and I always dug parkHORSE, but I guess not everyone was ready for them…

RADIO TWO
driving to houston last night to see the wiggins play at rudyards/checking the radio dial, found myself at 88.1 FM/they were broadcasting a christian talk show/sensing a train wreck i listened/the gravelly voiced (heavenly) host was speaking of judgement day/and informed those of us listening through the invisible radio waves/this shall occur on may 21st.
